3.1 The Unification of Christianity through Returning Resurrection
이미 본장 제2절 Ⅲ 2에서 상술(詳述)한 바와 같이, 낙원(樂園)에 머물러 있는 생명체급 영인(生命體級 靈人)들은 재림하신 예수님을 믿고 모심으로써 생령체급 영인체(生靈體級 靈人體)를 완성할 수 있는 지상의 성도들에게 재림한다. 그리하여 그들로 하여금 복귀섭리의 뜻을 이룰 수 있도록 협조함으로써 그들과 동일한 혜택을 받아 천국으로 가게 되는 것이다. 따라서 예수님의 재림기(再臨期)에는 낙원에 있는 모든 영인들이 함께 지상 성도들에게 재림하여 그들을 협조하는 역사(役事)를 하지 않을 수 없게 되는 것이다.
At the time of the Second Advent, all life spirits who dwell in Paradise descend to the people on earth who, by believing in and attending the Lord, can attain the level of divine spirit. By cooperating with these people to fulfill God’s Will for the providence of restoration, the spirits can share the same benefit and enter the Kingdom of Heaven. (cf. Resurrection 2.3.2.2) Accordingly, all the spirits will descend from Paradise in that day and assist the believers on the earth.
각 개체의 신앙태도와 그가 가지고 있는 천품(天稟), 그리고 뜻을 위하여 세운 그 선조들의 공적(功績) 등에 의하여, 그 시기는 각각 다르지만 위에서 설명한 바와 같은 입장에서 지상 성도들은 낙원(樂園)에 있는 영인들의 협조에 의하여 재림주님 앞으로 나아가 뜻을 위하여 헌신하지 않을 수 없게 된다. 그렇기 때문에 기독교는 자연히 통일되지 않을 수 없는 것이다.
Although the time of visitation may vary according to an individual’s faith, inborn nature, and the accomplishments of his ancestors for the providence, sooner or later each believer will be guided by the spirits from Paradise to go before Christ at the Second Advent and devote their lives for the sake of God’s Will. For this reason, Christianity is destined to be united.
3.2 The Unification of All Other Religions through Returning Resurrection
이미 말세론(末世論)에서 논한 바와 같이, 이제까지 동일한 목적을 지향하고 나왔던 모든 종교(宗敎)가 하나의 기독교문화권(基督敎文化圈)으로 점차 흡수되어 가고 있다는 역사적인 사실을 우리는 부인할 수 없다. 그러므로 기독교는 기독교만을 위한 종교가 아니라 과거 역사상에 나타났던 모든 종교의 목적까지 아울러 성취해야 되는 최종적인 사명을 가지고 나타난 종교인 것이다. 그러므로 기독교의 중심으로 오실 재림주님은 결국 불교(佛敎)에서 재림할 것으로 믿고 있는 미륵불도 되는 것이고, 유교(儒敎)에서 현현할 것으로 고대하고 있는 진인(眞人)도 되는 것이며, 한편 또 많은 한국인들이 고대하고 있는 정도령(正道令)도 되는 것이다. 그리고 그는 그밖의 모든 종교에서 각각 그들 앞에 나타나리라고 믿고 있는 그 중심존재가 되기도 하는 것이다.
As explained above, all religions, which have sought the same ultimate purpose, are gradually coalescing into one cultural sphere based on Christian ideals. (cf. Eschatology 4.2) Christianity does not exist for its own sake, but has as its final mission the fulfillment of the purposes of all the religions in human history. Christ at the Second Advent, who is to come as the center of Christianity, is the person of the Maitreya Buddha who is to return according to the teachings of Buddhism, the True Man who is awaited in the Chinese religious tradition, and the Chongdoryong for whom many Koreans yearn. He is the central figure whose advent is expected in other religions as well.
이와 같이 기독교에서 고대하고 있는 재림 예수님은 다른 모든 종교에서 재림하리라고 믿고 있는 그 중심인물(中心人物)이기도 하기 때문에, 다른 종교를 믿다가 타계한 영인들도 그가 가지고 있는 영적인 위치에 따라 그에 적응될 시기는 각각 다르지만, 재림부활(再臨復活)의 혜택을 받기 위하여 낙원(樂園)에 있는 영인들과 같이 재림하지 않으면 안 된다. 그리하여 각자가 지상에 있을 때 믿었던 종교의 지상 신자들을 재림하신 예수님 앞으로 인도하여, 그를 믿고 모시어 뜻을 이루도록 협조하지 않을 수 없는 것이다. 따라서 모든 종교는 결국 기독교를 중심하고 통일하게 되는 것이다.
Consequently,at the Second Coming of Christ, all spirits who believed in religions other than Christianity during their lifetime will, like the spirits in Paradise, also return to earth to be resurrected, even though the timing of their return will vary depending upon their spiritual position. These spirits must guide the earthly believers of their respective religions to Christ at the Second Advent and assist them to believe in him and attend him in his work to fulfill God’s Will. We can find a parallel example of this at the First Advent: the three wise men from the East, who were Zoroastrians, came in search of Jesus and worshipped him at his birth. (Matt. 2:1-12) Accordingly, all religions will eventually be united around a revived Christianity.
3.3 The Unification of Non-Religious People through Returning Resurrection
어떠한 종교도 믿지 않고 다만 양심적으로 생활하다가 타계한 영인들도 모두 재림부활 의 혜택을 받기 위하여 각각 그들에게 허락되어 있는 시기에 지상에 재림한다. 그리하여 그들도 양심적인 지상인으로 하여금 재림주님을 찾아 모시어 그 뜻을 이룰 수 있도록 협조하게 되는 것이다. 마태복음 2장 2절 이하에 기록된 바, 예수님의 탄생 때 점성술자(동방박사)들이 예수님을 찾아와서 경배(敬拜)하고 모시었던 일은 이러한 예에 속하는 것이라 하겠다.
Spirits who, in their lifetime, led a conscientious life but did not believe in any religion will also return to earth at the granted time to receive the benefit of returning resurrection. They will guide conscientious earthly people to seek out Christ at the Second Advent, attend him, and assist him in fulfilling God’s Will.
하나님의 복귀섭리(復歸攝理)의 궁극의 목적은 전인류를 구원하시려는 데 있다. 그렇기 때문에 하나님은 각각 그 죄를 탕감(蕩減)하는데 필요한 어느 기간만 다 경과하면 지옥까지도 완전히 철폐하시려는 것이다. 만약 하나님의 선의 목적이 이루어진 피조세계(被造世界)에 지옥이 영원히 그대로 남아 있다면, 결과적으로 하나님의 창조이상(創造理想)이나 복귀섭리는 말할 것도 없고 하나님까지도 불완전한 분이 되어지는 모순을 초 래하게 될 것이다.
The ultimate purpose of God’s providence of restoration is to save all of humanity. Therefore, God intends to abolish hell completely after the passage of time necessary for each individual to make restitution for his sin. If hell were to remain eternally in the world where God’s purpose of goodness is fulfilled, it would contradict the perfection of God, His ideal, and His providence of restoration.
타락인간에 있어서도 그 어느 한 자녀라도 불행하게 되면 결코 행복해질 수 없는 것이 그 부모의 심정이거늘, 하물며 하늘 부모로 계신 하나님에 있어서랴. 베드로후서 3장 9절을 보면 오직 너희를 대하여 오래 참으사 아무도 멸망치 않고 다 회개하기에 이르기를 원하시느니라고 기록되어 있다. 따라서 하나님이 원하시는 뜻대로 이루어져야 할 이상세계(理想世界)에 지옥이 영원한 것으로 남아질 수는 없는 것이다. 그리고 마태복음 8장 29절을 보면, 예수님 당시에 바로 사탄이 예수님을 하나님의 아들이라고 증거하였던 것과 같이, 끝날에 있어서도 때가 이르면 악영인(惡靈人)들까지도 각각 동급의 지상의 악인들에게 재림하여 그들이 뜻을 위하여 나아가도록 협조함으로써, 결국 오랜 기간을 경과하면서 점차적으로 창조목적(創造目的)을 완성하는 방향으로 통일될 것이다.
Even fallen parents cannot feel joyful when one of their children is unhappy. Is this not even more true for God, our Heavenly Parent? It is written, “The Lord . . . is forbearing toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” (II Pet. 3:9) Accordingly, hell cannot remain forever. No trace of hell will remain in the ideal world, which is the fulfillment of God’s deepest desire. In the Last Days, when the time is ripe, evil spirits will descend to evil people on earth of the same spiritual level and assist them to accomplish God’s Will. Indeed, even the demons testified that Jesus was the Son of God. (Matt. 8:29) By participating in these various dispensations over a long course of time, all people will gradually converge toward the goal of God’s ideal world.
